Het boek gaat over Cheryl Diamond, een meisje dat als 14-jarige de kans krijgt model te worden in het bruisende Manhattan. Ze staat als model vooral bekend om haar lange, blonde haar.
Voor het ontwerp kan je denken aan bijv. een catwalk, fashion, glamour, New York skyline, het vrijheidsbeeld, chicklit. Fris, stylish en uitnodigend. Leef je uit en verras ons met een originele cover.
Wij hebben het boek vertaald en brengen het boek uit op de Nederlandse markt.

The more I look at your design, the more I like it. I like the details, especially the cat she brought along and I think you replaced yourself into Cheryl. It looks realistic a teenager moving to the big apple. It suits the book as it is a true based story. I also like the colour scheme you used. Well done! Thank you for your design.

Toelichting van de designer Dé Marie:
Hi Anne! For my proposal I worked with the concept of a teenager, all by herself, going into the Big City, with just her cat, and a bag full of dreams. I wanted to recreate that first touch with the city. The composition is made up from I picture I did myself with the intention of putting this girl, her cat and her bags (as Cheryl states in her bio ), on the top of New York, staring at the city, just arriving and about to conquer it. For the font I chose bodoni, which is strongly related to fashion, glamour and elegance.
Innocence, determination and dreams....hope you like it. -
